Meet Molly the Mannequin
My dearest discombobulated dress form, how I adore thee.
Yea, there may be others with a more graceful stance and a lustier bosom, but you have stuck by me through the best of times and the worst of times, never casting so much as a questioning gaze upon me despite my antics. I like to imagine that, had you actually possessed a head, you would have only fixed a kindly and affectionate eye upon me throughout our decade-long affair.
Here’s to you, sweet Molly – may you outlive all of my other motley mannequins and continue to inspire my family for decades more.
Fo’ real tho’.
Pajama parade
For some reason, about 90% of the things I have sewn for my own girls are pajamas. I guess it’s because they’re fast and cute, and it doesn’t matter if they come out looking like doo doo because nobody is really going to see them. Plus my family is super stylish and we spend half of our daylight hours in PJs around the house.
My 4 year old, Anya, keeps asking me to sew her “a daydress,” and I keep ignoring her and making pajamas. Poor thing. Here is the latest Anya project.

I swore I would never be one of those moms who made their kids wear matching outfits. Uh-huh, yeah.

They don’t look like they mind so much though, right?
